Student Parking
Parking Applications for SY 2025-2026 at Palmetto Ridge High School will open on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 9:00AM. It is based on a first-come, first-served basis through the CCPS Student Portal. A student must be a Senior or Junior to park; unfortunately, we are unable to offer parking to Sophomores at this time. Parking at PRHS is a privilege. A student must meet all the minimum requirements and maintain a 2.0 unweight GPA to park at school. Students must be in good academic standing throughout the year, no habitual tardies and/or attendance issues, and be a student of good character.
- A student must be a Senior, 12th or Junior, 11th to have the privilege to park.
- Sophomores, 10th, are NOT eligible to purchase a parking space.
- A student must maintain a 2.0 unweight GPA throughout the school year to earn the privilege to park on campus. A student must pay any fees owed to the Media Center before being approved. This includes student IDs, parking violations, library books, school laptop, textbooks, and/or other outstanding dues accumulated from activities/athletics.
- The cost for parking space is $35.00.
- Students who park on campus must have a current parking hangtag and park in their designated space. Parking hangtag must be noticeably visible in the vehicle. When a vehicle does not have a visible parking hangtag, a student will receive a parking ticket and disciplinary consequences.
- Any student parking without authorization and/or does not meet the requirements will have discipline consequences and the vehicle will be towed at the owner’s expense.
- The right to drive and operate a motor vehicle on school property is controlled by the State of Florida through the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. All applicable state regulations will be enforced. The operation of a motor vehicle is controlled by various regulations and laws for the safety of all concerned and should be viewed as a privilege.
- The Collier County Public Schools provide an area for designated high school students to park their vehicles. All students who drive to school must register their vehicle(s) and secure a parking permit. Parking a car on school grounds is a privilege, not a right. This privilege may be suspended or revoked at any time.
- A student who drives a vehicle to school is responsible for and considered to be in possession of any item in that vehicle. Students will be subject to disciplinary action for items found in vehicles that are prohibited in the CCPS Student Code of Conduct.
- Students are prohibited from having inappropriate, profane, or incendiary stickers or writing that could have a disruptive effect, on vehicles they park on CCPS campuses.
- High school students are not permitted in their cars during any part of the school day, with the exception of those students who are released early by the school administrators. Upon arriving at school, students are to lock and leave their cars immediately. The student parking lot is for the parking of cars only, and students are not to congregate in the parking lot before, during, or after school.
- Students who accumulate 15 unexcused absences in a period of 90 calendar days shall have their driver license or learner’s driver license suspended.
- Palmetto Ridge High School is a CLOSED CAMPUS. A student is NOT ALLOWED to leave campus at any time of the school day. Leaving school campus without administration’s permission is subjected to a reasonable search of a vehicle. Collier County Public Schools has adopted a philosophy of a "closed campus.” Therefore, students are not permitted to leave the school grounds during the school day for any reason unless they have properly checked out with parental approval through the school office. Parents must follow check out procedures at their students’ respective school sites. No student shall be dismissed without appropriate adult authorization (PRHS Administration). To keep the school environment safe by preventing students from bringing harmful contraband onto campus, students who leave campus in violation of Attendance Policy 5200 and return during the day are subject to a search of their person, possessions, and vehicle.
